    Life in transition

    In two short months we transitioned from a family of three, living in a suburb house, going to work and school and living what is essentially described as "normal life", to the two of us living on a boat, with no house and no car, and both our kids half a continent away.

    A beginning

    We have purchased Qué vendrá on March 30th, 2020, right in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a culmination of almost a 6-month search, that took us through many boats and significantly changed our perspective on what kind of boat we were looking for. We first encounter Outbound 46 at the 2019 Annapolis Boat Show, both as a new model in the show as well as used boats in nearby marina that our broker took us to. That boat was different from anything else we have looked at so far. The attention to detail and the thought put in designing the exterior and interior were apparent to us very quickly. We started seriously looking at buying one. Luckily for us, a few Outbounds came up on the market on the West Coast in early 2020. We checked out one in Seattle, it was in great condition, but had a Pullman-style bed in the owners’ cabin, which we did…
