    We have spent about 2.5 months in Banderas Bay. This was our pay-back time – we had finally reached a place where we did not have to think about leaving soon, did not have to worry too much about the weather, and could just enjoy being there.

After two weeks of waiting for the rain to stop we After two weeks of waiting for the rain to stop we finally left the marina Papagayo. They were the longest two weeks in my life. So happy to be on the move again. There's nothing worse than being stuck in the place you don't want to be.

In search of beautiful beaches. Found one on the N In search of beautiful beaches. Found one on the Nicoya Peninsula. The region considered one of the Blue Zones in the world, where people commonly live active lives past the age of 100 years
To była najlepsza szkoła, do której kiedykolwie To była najlepsza szkoła, do której kiedykolwiek chodziliśmy. Rano nauka, a po południu różne atrakcje. Jazda na koniach, wizyta w mleczarni, której właścicielem był syn naszej nauczycielki, odwiedziny w technikum, gdzie uczyły nasza pani Carmen i nasza nauczycielka Doris. Oprócz nas w szkole była jeszcze dziewczyna z Ohio (sama podróżuje po Ameryce Centralnej i Południowej), dziewczyna z Nowego Jorku na rocznej przerwie między liceum a studiami i rodzina z Luizjany z dwójką małych dzieci. Super ludzie! To było dla nas niesamowite doświadczenie. Zakochałam się w ludziach w Kostaryce. Ciepli i serdeczni. Okazuje się, że język do porozumiewania się nie jest aż tak ważny.

Ostani tydzień spędziliśmy w szkole hiszpański Ostani tydzień spędziliśmy w szkole hiszpańskiego w Kostaryce. Mieszkaliśmy w domu u pani Carmen. Cudowna i serdeczna kobieta. Czuliśmy się jak u mamy przez chwilę. Gotowała nam pyszne obiady, które w smaku są podobne do naszych polskich.

Monteverde Cloud Forest is a mountaintop phenomeno Monteverde Cloud Forest is a mountaintop phenomenon. Moist, warm air sweeping in from the ocean is forced upward by mountain slopes, and as this moist air rises, it cools, forming clouds. The mountaintops around Monteverde are blanketed almost daily in dense clouds, and as the clouds cling to the slopes, moisture condenses on forest trees. This constant level of moisture has given rise to an incredible diversity of innovative life forms and a forest in which nearly every square inch of space has some sort of plant growing. The branches of huge trees are draped with epiphytic plants: orchids, ferns, and bromeliads. The most interesting tree is the parasitic strangler fig, the "matapalo"("tree killer"), which grows on other trees until it envelopes and suffocates them, and then remains standing as e tree in its own right, wirh a hollow interior after the original tree rots away. We were told by our guide that if the climate changes continue this ecosystem is predicted to significantly change or to be completely lost in the next 15-20 years. That means that many species of plants, birds and mammals living in the cloud forest will disappear from the face of the earth.
